New turbo?

I have an 05 with tbe and xpt stage 2 tune. A week ago my exhaust started smoking only when idling and only when the exhaust has heated up. From the research I've done I've determined this is a bad seal in the turbo and plan on replacingit soon. My question is should I replace it with a td04 or is there something else that I could replace it with and not have to put new injectors in? I'm not looking to get 300 whp I'm merely looking for a little more power and more reliability out of a turbo. What would you suggest?

Probably a 16g... Bit more top end and still has good spool characteristics.

Could I still use stock blue injectors with 16g?

Pretty sure. It's not much bigger than a td04, but can be tuned to give you probably 260 or so whp on the stock ones. MOSC runs a 16g on his STi, he can probably give you some more detailed info.

no you should not use the stock injectors with that 16g turbo, your duty cycle will exceed the limit of those injectors. I see you have a XPT tune, is that a tune that you paid for and got the map in a E-Mail or did you go there have have your car protuned?

No protune yet, but enough said. I'll stick with the stocker td04 cause I haven't the $$$ for new injectors. Thanks a bunch, you guys are awesome!
