New Engine Issues - Not Trolling!

Hi Everyone,

I did search and couldn't find quite what I was looking for. I'm a current '06 STi owner, very soon to be '12 WRX owner. I've read many threads about ringland issues and poor factory tunes for STi's over on IWSTI.com. Has any of this been an issue and/or been fixed with the '12 WRX? I'd hope that Subaru would get things squared away after a few years, but just want to ask the experienced WRX owners what I can expect!

Thanks a lot,
Dave

Still have some poor OL/CL transition on the stock tune and the ring lands are going to be a how well you break in the engine and how much you beat on it till a certain point of whp/wtq. The newer WRXs have been having lot more sucess with power than the previous 02-07 wrxs...but, thats about all I know. Other owners of 3rd gens should chime in with more information.

Thanks Kirt, I'll follow the manufacturer's recommendations for breaking in the engine and keep my fingers crossed.
