I was driving home from work and as I was turning a corner in 3rd, my car lost boost, started sputtering/shuttering, etc and threw a CEL. The first thing I thought was that I had some type of exhaust leak since that has happened before. I checked all gaskets (even put in some seafoam to see if smoke would come out of any area it wasn't supposed to) but I did not find anything. I tried resetting the ECU and loading back my map. I turned the car on and the CEL was gone. I took it out for a test drive and as soon as I got to around 3500rpm, same sputtering, loss of boost, CEL. I checked the codes and this is what it gave me...
P0500
P1518
P1591
P0131 - o2 sensor circuit low voltage (bank 1 sensor 1)
P0132 - o2 sensor circuit high voltage (bank 1 sensor 1)
I searched but I have found nothing... And no, it is not in test mode and the green clips are not together. ANY info would be greatly appreciated.
Post all your engine mods and list anything you have done or installed in the car recently.Did you possibly install a turbo timer recently?P1518 is a starter switch code and P1591 is nuetral saftey switch.P500 is vehicle sensor malfunction.Try reflashing back to stock and see what happens. If it goes away their is a problem with the map(maybe wrong year ecu),if not then it's with the car.

I checked all gaskets for leaks and bolts to see if anything looked funky and everything is fine. Could a bad o2 sensor be the issue? But that wouldn't explain the other codes.
I reflashed the ECU back to stock but then I put the stage2 map back in...
What map are you using and are you sure it's the right map?Sounds like maybe your using a map for a car with a different transmisson. It might be time for you to get an new O2 sensor. They generally are replaced every 60-75K miles.

I am going to try that... I know it is a little expensive, but the one I have looks fairly old and my car is almost at 90k miles. I have also just replaced the brake lines so that may have something to do with the speed sensors, even though I was careful not to tug at any wires.
I feel really stupid... It looks like the problem was the result of something that I did when I did my exhaust mods. I went to the dealership to get a new o2 sensor, gaskets and picked up a new battery also. When I went to remove the air intake box so I could remove the o2 sensor wire easier, I realized that the lower coil pack on the passenger side was hanging out. Then it dawned on me what happened. When I had replaced my uppipe and downpipe a few months ago, I had to remove the o2 sensor. When I went to reconnect it, I didn't use the correct bolt that holds the o2 sensor wire bracket, which is also the bolt that goes into the coil pack. I got the correct bolt, put the coil pack back in, reflashed the ECU and everything is as good as new. The positive thing is that since I had to have the car on the ramps, I took time to replace my end links, pitch stop mount, and light weight pulley that I have been meaning to install. dumdum, thank you for all of your input. I really appreciate it.
