Need Some Help Here.

Hey Guys and Gals,
So heres the issue. Almost everyday now, at some point in my day, when sitting at a stop sign or traffic light, my cars fan will turn on boostin up the idle rpm's for a short time, and then my car will shut right off. Now 50% of the time, if it doesnt shut off, itll bog way down like it wants to but then revs up to about 1500 then idles normally again. Now i thought at first it was becauuse the bolt that holds my ground terminal on had come off. I tightened it back down and it did fine for about 2 days, and then came right back. Could this be something with battery/alternator/charging system? I had a kid with an evo come up to me the other day and said it sounded like i had a vaccum leak...? Just looking for some help on if you have any idea of what it could be.

if you have your HVAC control set on defroster it runs your ac compressor, that will kick your fan on as well as bump your idle up, but that shouldn't make your car shut off. when it happens again check to see where your control is set to.
