My running lights wont shut off

I have an 02 wrx. I went to install my aftermarket cd deck in so I could hook my sub-woofer up. I hooked everything up. I cut the power wires to hook them to a new block on the postitive side of the battery so everything would be clean. After i hooked everything back up now my running lights wont shut off. I do have hid lights on it with diffrent headlights. Thank-you James

Did you bypass the switching portion of your headlight? Your post is a little confusing. Did you previously disable your day time running lights and now after redoing the battery wires it's enabled again?

What all did you end up cutting off?

Sorry if it was confusing. The only thing i cut off was right where it attached to the battery. I changed the end so i could hook a power wire up for my amp.

No, I did not disable the running lights. But now they never shut off even with the key off.

Did you reach across your steering column for anything? The parking light switch its poorly placed right there and people often times hit/bump that without realizing it and the lights are then on. Check that out, might be the problem.
