motor

Ok I blew my motor. I want to do the 2.5L STi shortblock. I did a search and coulndt find what i was looking for. Where can I find the complete list of things Im going to need for the swap?

do i just need the sti short block and use everything else from my WRX motor? yea i know that was quick hahahah too bad i never got to dyno or tune it

If you spent all that time to dyno tune it and all and then it would've broke, you would have lost a lot more money. Think of it that way

My advice it to go to www.nasioc.com and do your searching there. There has been A LOT written about how and what parts will be needed to do the STi 2.5 Swap.

What I do know, is that you can use your WRX heads, however you'll need to Crawford Performance Pistons made for the 2.5 which will allow the WRX heads to be used without issue.

you can use the heads, but at least stock STi cams are strongly suggested... and yes, go to NASIOC and see what you can find. There's actually a lot of people that have done this conversion.

PS- Guys in Neef's defense, he bought this car with a VF22 and basically no supporting mods if I remember.... no injectors, utec, etc? He's a lot more of a misinformed buyer than someone that killed his own engine.
