Hey guys, I'm new to this forum so please bear with me ! I have a 03 wrx . So I was driving the other day from work and my check engine light blinked three times and it went away right away . I've searched up plenty of forums and people say it's a misfire . The only problem I'm having is that I took it the mechanic so they can use a OBD11 and they got no codes ! I recently changed my spark plugs like a couple weeks ago and the check engine turned on right after . My friend put in the machine and erased it but two codes came on which he never told me what they were . The check engine light didn't turn back on until 2 days ago when it blinked 3 times . I drove the car the whole day yesterday and the CEL never came on so I'm puzzled ?
Chances are it is the clips that go on the coil pack. I don't know how many times this has happened to me an others. Its obvious and simple and I swear no matter how much I try to make sure they go on all the way at least once doesn't seat properly. The vibrations on the clips will make them not have a good connection. Check and make sure that tab that locks them is in. That's why a lot of time you will see people use zip ties on these connectors as it is such a common issue.
