MAF Problem

Hi,

My car was using a cold intake system from K&N, now I put back the OEM boxed filter intake but the car started to fail and the Cruise light start to blink with Check Engine on all the time.

I already took of and cleaned with MAF Cleaner but the problem still strong.

When idling if I disconnect the MAF the engine DIE, if I plug again it wants to die and sometimes die.

What can be? Just a ODB scan can clear the error or this is a auto clean error when the MAF come back to work?

I already tried to find on the Internet to buy another one, but I can't find.

Can anyone help me with this issue? Or indicate where I can buy I new one.

Thank you.

you probably mounted the maf backwards, try mounting it turned the other way

What CEL code did you get ?

rodrigoferrari 07-06-2010 11:51 AM

Was two codes, one for MAF and another for IAT, I don't remember because I already cleared both with Dashhank a few days ago. Now it is working, I put for 30 minutes de MAF sensor inside 100% ethanol...
