Lugging? Can I get your Diagnosis...
I have an 04 Wrex wagon. No engine upgrades accept for a panel K&N filter.
For a while now I have experienced lugging when starting from 1st gear at any RPM under 2k. I change oil and filter every 3k with mobile 1, I replaced the plugs,fuel filter, and tranny oil with no effect. Could this be a symptom of the car running lean do to increased air from the filter or a bad O2 sensor? Or is this just the result of an low torque down low?
I would appreciate any suggestions.
any CELS? Was it running like this before the filter? Wrx's are gutless at that rpm, its called turbo lag!

+1, I've got an 03 WRX with a VF34 and supporting mods/tune. I've got nothing below 2250 RPMs. But once I get to around 2500, it's a whole different story. The car just wakes up and goes. I also shift above 4k so that my RPMs don't drop back into that range.
I had a similiar problem with my 06 WRX. I cleaned the air mass meter sensor and that fixed it. The cleaner and instructions are available at most auto parts stores. I used one by CRC I bought at the zone. It takes about 15 min. the first time and about 10 min to do it after that. Try it.
