Careful with that C clip though, if I wouldn't have had my magnet on it i would have lost it many times.

It got too cold out to work on cars so I'm just going to take it to the dealership. I gave them all the info I gave you guys. They E-mailed me back but they don't sound very encouraging.

Scott, I can make an appointment for you to look at the car. Unsure of how much it would cost to diagnose, or even
at all possible. I say that because with no cel or indicator lights it would just be looking for boost leaks and test driving to monitor any
relevant data/sensors.
I have a 05 Forester xt. this happened to me once last year. issue lasted a week and we could not figure it out either.
It happened also about 1 month ago. I was suspecting the computer is pulling boost and or not allowing over a certain psi
due to spark knock or fueling issues. both times this happened it was after filling up with gas. both times this happened boost would jump right up to
8 psi then hold right there that is why I suspected the ecm pulling boost / timing or fuel. anyway let me know.

Ken

I'll tell them to look at the waste gate arm flapper thingie too. Have mechanics become so dependent on computers that they can't mechanic any more? Any thoughts?

All right, where is the distributor cap? I need to find the #1 plug wire to hook up my SUN machine.

Yer' not gonna' believe this...I was out getting a pizza the other night and my turbo came back! Out of the blue!!! I didn't do ANYTHING!! It just came back. I drove it to work and the turbo worked fine. Good thing too I got into a life or death situation that needed the turbo to get out of. I can't have this. I never know if I'll have a turbo or not.

I was kinda' thinking that too. Especially after reading what my dealer mech said about his Forester xt. I think my turbo came back after I was at 1/4 tank or less and I always get my gas at the same place.

Maybe the ECU reset had nothing to do with it since I didn't reset it when it came back the 2nd time.

They have been screwing with the gas mixture around here. So this is not beyond reason. I'll try getting my gas somewhere else.

Higher Ethanol amount now. 15% now instead of 10%.

Should still bring the octane up a bit. Doubt it's from the E content.

So, the latest update...All boost has left town. I'm now getting ZERO BOOST!!Cry! Now I know what it's like to drive a 2.5RS. I took it to the dealer in the nearest town that has a subie dealership. In the morning I'll go up there myself and see wassup.

All right, where is the distributor cap? I need to find the #1 plug wire to hook up my SUN machine.
