Jerking starting out

So I am about to buy an 02 wrx from a guy I know and i went to go test drive it and the car jerks back and forth when starting out and after getting up to a higher RPM it doesnt do it anymore. The car was sat for a while and before he let it sit he took off the boost control and the BOV cause it was acting up. It needs a new battery cause its completly dead, we had to jump it to start it, the cruise control doesnt work but the could just be the panel right there. When he turns the lights on the gauges stop working. It also has a CEL and needs to replace a upper radiator hose cause it spills water. But what I am mainly asking is what could be the problem that causes the jerking and what should I do for it?

I think my main concern would be the CEL, but the jerking could be from several different things from driver error to bad fuel or injectors.

or it could be the problem of the engine. did you hear anything griding at lower RPM? I assume this is an automatic, which means that the issue could come from the transmission (1st gear?)

Unless that car is free I would start looking elsewhere. All of the issues you mentioned would be enough to make me walk away.

So this car has...

A bad boost controller/ BOV
A dead battery
No cruise control
Malfunctioning dash lights
Leaky radiator
Grinding transmission
Unknown CEL issue

And your only concern is the car jerking back and forth? I'm not trying to be mean here, but I would run away from this car as fast as you can. Otherwise, it's going to get really expensive, really fast.

its straight up driver error, ### mine did that for the first 2 weeks when i bought it, and then i got used to the clutch and it stopped and hasn't done it since.
