Interior lights? help please

Well jus a couple of days ago i hooked up 2 standard(pretty cheap)neons under my steering wheel and glove box.... i have them grounded and they work ok...... i have them hooked up to my cigarrete lighter wire...... to recieve power, the wire doesnt seem to have enough juice to light up my lights completley... are there any safe wire that i can hook them up to that would involve cutting of wires....? i have them hooked up to the cigarrette lighter ### its pretty safe, i dont think its gonna mess ne thing up, and i didnt have to cut any wire..... any one help me with my problem? pictures of the wires would help.... thanks guys

In my experience your cigarette lighter should have more than enough. Those neons take very little power to light. If you are not popping the fuse for the cig. lighter, than you should go out and get some new lights.

Consider cold cathode lighting. They are typicaly brighter, less bulky compaired to neons, and they have a longer life span. They also operate with little or no heat (hense 'cold' cathode). If I recall correctly, they also use less power... but don't quote me on that. That was a while ago when I was into case modding. However, they don't offer as many colors as neons do. It's like ~40 compaired to neon's ~110.
