Angry Injector failure?

Hey all, so recently my 04 wrx started leaking fuel very fast. I noticed it on the freeway due to the intense smell of gasoline and the fact that my tank went from full to 1/4 tank in about 20 minutes. As soon as a noticed where the leak was coming from (engine bay), I pulled over and had the car flat bedded to a shop. According to the shop I have a failed fuel injector but they are not sure yet. Can anyone shed some light on as to why this might happen? I installed deatchwerks 650cc injectors along with a new turbo setup back in 06. Also, the tuner wouldn't push the duty cycle past 80-85% - which is generally considered "safe", right?? Are there more variables that could cause a failed injector? -possibly other problems with the fuel system? Any thoughts much appreciated.

The injector or the seal?

Haven't heard of that at all on these cars... doesn't mean it can't happen.

Well sometimes injectors quit working although very rare. I doubt it was the injector. I'd send it to witch hunter or someone to have it tested if need be, otherwise I'd say it was the O-ring the dried up and caused the leak.
