Question Help Low Oil Press After Upipe Instal

Whats up everybody? I installed my TurboXs uppipe about 2 weeks ago. Shortly after i noticed my oil pressure readings were low. Instead of 100psi cold start idle and 80-90 cruising or acceleration, i get 60psi cold start idle and 48-50psi cruising AND hard acceleration. Now, like an idiot I bent my oil pan a little bit during the install. Not enough i would have though would be a problem but i went ahead and replaced it anyway (strainer and gasket too). No change. Ive checked for leaks and the wiring for the gauge both are ok. Im gonna check the pressure with a mechanical gauge on monday but im at a loss. Anybody have a similar problem or any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Ps i know subarus minimum spec is 43 psi at 5000rpm 176 F but mines just a little too close to that for comfort!

Its directly above the filter. I got one of those adapters that fits between the filter and the cooler. Im thinking at this point its gotta be a small leak, just not large enough to drip. I only let it run for a few minutes on the lift before ### i was running out of time. Im gonna put some dye in it tomoro and also put it back on a lift to recheck. The odds of the oil pump starting to act up at the exact time i put on my uppipe seem remote.

i've never taken an oil pan off one of these motors, but maybe the oil pickup is pretty close to the bottom of the oil pan...most are kinda close, but you may be restricting flow if the oil pan is pushed up close to it??? somebody with more knowledge of these engines could say that this is even possible... just my .02

Well i figured it out. I broke the cardinal rule of problem diagnosis..... check the simple stuff first. Turns out my guages sending unit went out. The fact that the pan was bent and the bad readings showed up at the same time was just a coincidence. I checked the press with a mechanical gauge and it was fine. Bought a new sending unit, instaled it and everything is fine. Oh well i learned how to replace a pan and pick up tube on my subie. BTW its a PITA. Thanks for the help guys.
