Everytime in 4th gear, cruising at 50-55 mph. the frikin cel light comes on. WHY???
I can run the car hard as hell. Whether going through the gears or breakin the grip @ 120+. But cruising in 4TH GEAR @ 50-55 MPH...
I beleive it is always the same code. MAF
I have the MIL cel fix in the rear cat(do they go bad???)
Any ideas.

what is the actual code stored? if you could give me the OBD2 code (P0???) I might be able to point you in the right direction!

you need to get the code pulled, pep boys or checker auto or other auto parts stores can usually pull the codes for free then you have a starting point for the diagnosis of your problem, if your cel goes out every time you shut off the motor, get the light to come on and go right to get the code pulled then we can get this solved correctly.

intakes have been causing a ton of problems (mine now draws cold air to my garage shelf) the K&N typhoon intake for the evo's is causing bad flat spots, setting codes and hitting fuel cut constantly! have removed 4 of them from customers cars and put the stock boxes back on at the dealership in the past week and a half.
stupid CAI systems!!

i dont have any issues with my customers.....i got an EVO, and the only issue with that intake was the filter rubbing...but that was taken care of with a new bracket. and those still use the factory MAF......so metering isnt changed, like it is with the WRX.....

the evos were going to around 220g/s readings from the vaf at 5800rpm, with the stock intake and drop in K&N filter, there were no airflow issues, the intake pipe was causing enough air swirl (hence the name Typhoon)that it was causing wierd airflow metering as it went into the pipe, like a toilet when you flush it. however the speed shop where the intake was purchased bought it back and is sending it back to K&N to figure out the problem
ok so where were we? oh yeah! what was that code again?
