First off, we need to know what the cel was? Second, what mods have you done to your car?
When you throw the cel again have it read. Only thing I can suggest is put your stock one back one. The stock IC is good up until you start to change your turbo injectors, and fuel pump.

For what you have the larger top mount is not necessary. I'd put the stock back one on for now and see if it makes things better. There will be a little more lag with the larger intercooler. Whether that is the problem or not I'm not sure. Other than that check everything again and make sure something isn't leaking or loose.

It just isn't put on correctly....a loose or disconnected intercooler hose will cause the car to run like poo or not at all

No EM is needed though what he is explaining is the lag caused by a Larger IC with the stock turbo. There is no need to change the IC as of yet. You will see alot more lag with this TMIC put on. I would suggest putting stock one back on until you upgrade your turbo then put the new TMIC on. Until then run stock IC with Stock turbo. Good luck with it. and again you WILL see quite a bit more lagg being that this is a larger TMIC
