Hello all new wrx owner here...boost issue a lot of help needed
Hello all
I have a 2005 WRX that has a NO boost issue. It would appear that someone has had there fingers in the engine bay before and now im looking for help solving this issue. Im leaning towards it being a vacuum line issue. So this is what im looking for but any help is greatly appreciated.
-Im looking for a under hood wiring diagram
-Vacuum line diagram (technical or forum user created) Turbo related mainly, solenoids, wastegate, turbo, etc...
-any other help or suggestions that may be related to a no boost issue
Again any help is appreciated. right now the car drives like a non turbo version...YES YES YES IT IS TURBO I CAN SEE IT...im not that much of a noob.
Im gonna add a big thank you in advance. Ling time troller here...
The only wiring that is going to be boost related will be on the boost control solenoid and all the does is plug into the wiring harness.
I would check the wastegate actuator and arm. If that came unattached then the wastegate is probably just blowing open and that will cause a no boost situation.

Well, if you're currently not getting any boost probably nothing. The most common way to see 0 boost is to have the wastegate actuator arm disconnected from the wastegate.
well the pill is in but it has no effect...ive got nothing. Boost solenoid bad maybe? looking now to find out how to test...any input is appreciated as usual.
ok tested the BCS and even flipped the restrictor pill and nothing at all. As an added note i cannot hear the turbo spool whatsoever. I tested the BCS via a 9 volt and blowing in the lines. ANy ideas?
ok for an update. My NO boost claims were without a boost gauge. Claims were because the car feels like an RS. An autometer gauge was installed today. Car will make an instant 14lbs and then drop very very rapidly back to zero. cant feel anything or hear the turbo spool.
