fuel light problem

i have a 07 wrx and i just got a amp and sub installed. now the fuel light is staying lit. i have read the fourms, but the only suggestion is to take it to the dealer. i know if i go they will tell me "you messed with the wiring, therefore we are going to charge you $$$$$"

any other suggestions?????

Did you install the stereo equipment? If a shop did take it back and tell them that they messed something up.
