Engine Cough that I cannot figure out.. please help me!!

Trying to keep a long story short.. heres my list of upgrades:

DriveTrain:

Gates racing timing belt kit
All new gaskets
New fuel filter
New pcv valve
ID 1000CC injectors
New front 02 sensor subaru oem
New coil packs subaru oem
Mass air flow just replaced last year denso
New ngk iridium step colder plugs gapped to .025 (innovative tuning suggested)
COBB AccessPort
VF39 Turbo
STI Top Mount Intercooler
Subaru Short Shifter
COBB Air Intake
GrimmSpeed Electronic Boost Controller
GrimmSpeed Air/Oil separator
Perrin Lightweight Crank Pulley
Perrin Pitch Stop Mount
Group N Motor Mounts
Group N Transmission Mount
Whiteline Positive Shift Kit
Whiteline Rear Differential Locking Bushings
Paranoid Fabrications Grounding kit
Invidia Up-Pipe
Tsudo Down Pipe
SRS-RE Cat-Back
Deatschwerks 300LPH Fuel Pump

Took it up to innovative tuning and they gave me a break in tune and said that they cant even tune it because it has a bad "cough" every time you go to blip the throttle quickly the car coughs or stutters then will go. Its pretty bad. so ive replaced alot of things like the coils, pcv, fuel filter, checks all my vac lines, anything i could think off... If you slowly accelerate then theres no problem its only when you blip the throttle it falls on its face... any idea? ill take a video later and post it on youtube and put the link in comments. ive also cleaned the MAF sensor... im so lost. any suggestions please and thank you!!

Could be. Usually if there is an issue with a TGV a code will pop for it and the car will be thrown into limp mode though.

well i have no codes and ive tried reading anything on the cobb acessport, but when i was taking apart the intake manifold and tgvs to have the manifold painted and put in new injectors i accidentaly for some unknown reason took that sensor off.. so i just slapped it back on and screwed it back down.. that could be it.. but like before theres no CEL

Sounds more like it just falls on its face for a few seconds when you give it gas, so it would be before he spools.

I had these symptoms once...on a 350 V8 with a Quadrajet carb.

Mine was a different motor entirely, but could his be getting too much gas and not enough air at the moment he steps on the pedal (slight "flooding", AFR out of whack)? (Just throwing it out there to the rest of us)

But I'm really wondering why the tuner didn't take the time to go through the fuel programming to see if there was any abnormalities, or did he?

If you don't have voltage to one of the TGV's it could be staying open or closed and causing more or less air than the other side to go into the combustion chamber. Honestly though I think if that were the problem it would throw a code. Should have just deleted them and the air pump while you were in there. Makes for less headache down the road. Like sleepr, I too am wondering why the tuner didn't take the time to troubleshoot the problem if he didn't. Most tuners that have been around the block a few times can usually pinpoint problems with ease. Still waiting on a link to the video or maybe even a datalog.

Yes this is way before boost this is right at idle if i blip the throttle it just falls on its face. i agree its got to be fuel or air but the tuner said its something electrical, he pretty much pushed us out of the shop. worst experience ever there with them.. admited i was 40 minutes late due to a detour i didnt know about and i live 2 hours away from them at that, i walked in and they sat there talking amongst themselves for 5 minutes before i even got a hello, then they kicked us out so they all could go get lunch.. then said somethings wrong with it. charged me $300 for putting on dyno and all that BS. and offered pretty much no advice. needless to say ill be taking it to TPG tuning and i will drive the 3 hours to make sure i get good service.

I was going to delete TGVs but then ive read online with alot of people having trouble with them yada yada so i left em and now looks like im having trouble with keeping them in lol...

based on the video, I must admit I misunderstood your description. I was expecting more of a hesitation when you "blip" the throttle. But in your video, I don't see or hear any hesitation, which is usually what I (personally) would associate with the description of "cough" or "stutter". Maybe someone else can better identify/detect what the OP is describing?

OP, I'm certainly not disputing your situation, I just wanted to admit that I lack the diagnostic intuition to be of any real help in this case. I look forward to what others have to say.

Yeah sorry its very hard tk describes what its doing but in short. At idle is I tap the throttle and let off it chokes out then goes back to idle. If I floor it then it takes about 2 seconds then responds.

I also found a hose on the left rear tgv sensor that was not connected to anything. I could not find where it went. Ull see me grab it in the video .
