EGT probs

I have an autometer EGT gauge, and its no working. I checked all the connections and they seem to be ok, but its not reading the temp.
PLs. tell me what i can do, I just got it!

i hope he didnt splice into anywires......



you have two wires to the back of it, red and black. two wires on a harness for the light, black and white, and two studs that the EGT probe hooks too, one for the yellow and one for red.

you must have 12v on the redwire that is on the gauge, ground on the black one, illumination feed of 12v on the white wire and grund on the black wire to the bulb, and merely hook the red lead to the stud labeled red, and yellow lead to the yellow stud.

hmm i think i have a prob with my egt guage.. when i use the power windows the gauge dips like its not getting enuf power.. and reads a little lower when me lights are on... any ideas? I had rallispec put it in when they did my header..

get a better power supply to it. run a power wire out of your fuse panel and see if that is better. make sure you have a good ground too.

I fixed it. It wasn't an illumination problem, it was the actual temp. reading. It was loose wiring from the EGT probe wire to the module itself. I tightened up the wire and now it works fine. I guess I had it hooked up wrong somehow.
