diferential light control flashing

Please help,

im new at this forum and im from Croatia, maybee my English is not so good.
Enyway im haveing a subaru impreza wrx sti year 2007, only 35 000 km, it is tuned and everything is in order exept the green light ( like 0 symbol ) is flashing at my board, it is haveing a differential control inside but it is kept locked and green 0 is flashing.
The previous owner has told me that he was taking of the drive wheel for the moment and it is blinking since then,...he has recomended a visit to a official subaru dealer but im 900 km far from first next.

Can you help,..., maybee describe how this control works when it can be adjusted and you can adjust the settings of the car.

Did you check your owners manual to see what it says about that light? I would take the wheel back off that the previous owner mentioned and look around for anything suspect. Im not sure if our us models even have that light.

Its a DCCD light on the dash and I have no idea why the "0" would be blinking. If I can think correctly...that might be saying your DCCD is set to "open". I'll throw in two photos of a STI dash below. One is JDM and the other is USDM

Thank you for your help.
Yes this is it the DCCD light on the bottom of the scale, as i see bouth models, US and European has it, my zero 0 is blinking green on my dash board and i can not adjust the amount of torque from my inner controler, it is kept locked.
I have spoken to some service experts and one told me that i have to come and they must adjust the sensor behind the drive wheel ( adjust the exact position of the wheel ), like syhronise the wheel position and diferential action or change this sensor,..or maybee check the wires and conections,...
I told them that the car is acting normaly, good at the straight line and in the corners beahave like it is 50-50 traction.
I must go far from my place beacouse there is no official subaru service here.

Oh....what they're talking about is a wheel sensor for the STIs. Hold on.

There is a: "Steering angle sensor with the mechanical DCCD system" on the STIs. It reads the angle of your steering to help with the auto DCCD setting. So, that sensor is probably acting up on your STI. I'd take it in to get looked at.

Thanks, that is it, maybee i will look in my garage if something is wrong with it when we get of the drive wheel, if not i will go to service it.
I would like to use this iner control to see how the car reacts to it,...im soure you can feel a diference between front and rear,....
Thanks for your help, it is one of the best cars that i drive, i bought it one month ago, mine has garett gt 30/76 bolt on turbo, dynamics 1000ccm injectors, walbro fuel pump, kakumei no cats exhaust, wiseco forged pistons, k1 forged rods, ARP bolts, cometic gaskets, carbon tech set of bearings,....helix race clutch, and suspension moods, outside it is stock, just lowered with H&R springs,...tuned ecu,...
It is fast and very gripy,...realy makes you smile,....

Haha, sounds like a nice build. Funny how you use just about the same parts in Croatia that we use here in America. Sounds like your STI would be a fun car to drive.

We use similar parts, all this is ordered from the same producers,...as i see your Subaru is really looking nice and clean and good tuned.
I have this Subaru for the road, the first owner build it and lost intrest in this car,...
I was building a Audi a4 quattro with all motorsport parts and race with it in our hillclimb championship, it is very popular in our country.
Audi has similar drivetrain ( i use 6 speed dogbox with front lsd, rear and lsd torsen ),...it weights 1180 kg and has little more than 500 hp from 1.9 liter turbo engine, it is fun to drive also,...

It is good comunication, we are so far away but the same interest in cars.....

Oh wow. Audi's are really expensive to get parts to modify them here. Sounds like a proper race car for the hill climbs though. Yeah, the love of cars is a universal language. Glad to help.
