Angry

No, nobody could tell me what was wrong?

my car has been sitting for two weeks, and probably for a few months til i figure out what is wrong.

i am afraid to drive it, sounds bad and i dont want to mess anything else up.

just over the past day i have torn apart the engine 6 times looking everything over.
its in time, has a boost leak on the intercooler hose, which (is the problem i would think but before i buy parts i want a definite answer).

funny thing is no one will lend me any knowledge and the people around here say my turbo is bad. the fellow wrx owners/modders in this town say its something else and they are complete retards who know nothing about the way a motor operates, let alone a boxer engine.

ill keep you posted till i rip some more stuff apart.

you've already answered your questions. Your symptoms certainly point to a boost leak, things just got veered off between not having a tune for an upgraded turbo, the spark plugs, and that oct booster chat. replace the hose, reset the ecu, make sure there are no more leaks, and see how it drives.

Yea maybe try to start out by fixing hte problem you know of.

Then come back to being an E-thug cause we are all oh so scared of you.

The tune is just as important for daily drivers as it is for race cars. Get a real tune.

Try resetting the ECU.

Buy a tactrix cable and learn to datalog or take the car to someone who can.Tons of stuff to try.
fuel pressure test
clean maf (mentioned earlier)
change fuel filter
compression/leakdown test.

You gotta pay to play in the end.If you don't know much about modding cars then in the end you gotta pay someone who does to fix it unfortunatly.Dianosising cars over the interweb doesnot always work well or is the most efficient method.Sometimes you just gotta see the car in person especially when it sounds like you have multiple problems.

Do a fuel pressure test. Sounds like you are not getting enough fuel up top, stock injectors? I know cobbs stg 3 is a vf 39 and STi pinks. If the injectors are stock and you are running a vf 39 that explains your problem right there.

Try some injector cleaner. If that doesn't work I would take it to a tuner and let him log the car and tune it.

A tune isn't just for a race car. Plenty of people are running around with custom tuned DDs.

Have you checked the fuel pressure yet? If it's too low that could explain your symptoms but that should also throw a code for running lean. This may sound dumb but has the car been running poorly all on the same tank of gas? Is it possible you just got unlucky at the gas station? Not getting a CEL makes it hard to diagnose. I don't know if that was helpful at all but good luck man, I hope you get your subie back on the road.

im going to try and check it in these next few days, does anyone know about this, if i run low pressure then i need a new fuel pump? or what. give me some possibilities and do you know what the stock fuel pump flows at?

i hooked up my turbo timer and im able to pop of 1.34 bar (good or bad)????

btw how would you guys hook up a fuel pressure test? , i was thinking bout teeing off at the fuel filter

give me some light on the situation

I think the stock pump flow at 145lph, but you may want to look that one up.

Thats what most people put in when they upgrade. Better to have too much than not enough.
