Put it on Map 0 and tell me if it still does it, does it less, or more.

That stuff is a waste of money. When it says 6 points, you just increased your octane from 93 to 93.6, NOT 99.

those are one step colder plugs u replaced them with right?

and were the plugs fouled pretty bad?

did u try disconnecting battery, and pumping the brakes to reset the ecu also?

talk to a tuner, see what they can do for u.

Try doing a boost leak test and cleaning the MAF.Have you ever changed the front O2 sensor?

yes i did replace it with bkr7iex or one step colder plugs, after i put those in changed my oil to royal purple and reset the ecu.
i have not replaced the front o2 sensor but am really close to doing it.
i havent cleaned the maf sensor either

it is due for a timing belt change, and i think it might of jumped time a tooth or something like that because its worn out.

im replacing it with a greddy timing belt, this wed
ill keep you posted , and let you know more wed

u said u just bought it and it's doing all these things?? i think the first thing u need to do is to get a tune. go to a reputable tune shop and they could probably fix all the frankenstein work the person before u did too it.

says 7 points (.7 octane) in 16 gallons. The do make some other types with different numbers but 60? I am not calling you a liar, I'm saying if you saw 60 on the bottle, you don't read very well.

Octane Boosters Testing - Tech Review - European Car Magazine
Here's a great link where they did some real analysis of these products. Short answer: They're not worth the money.

By their analysis, the MMT based formula in the NOS stuff is roughly 215 octane. To hit 60 points of gain on 16 gallons of 93 octane from a 12 oz addititve, you'd be looking at mixing in 1125 octane. You do realize how stupid that makes you sound? EDIT: BTW this stuff destroys catalytic converters and is illegal.

alright guys, sorry its taken so long to get back to you, to start i changed maps to 0.
same thing happens just lost in power because of the map change.

i decided to do a boost leak test as you guys advised and i found the intercooler piping to intake is leaking, i hooked a smoke machine up to it and it leaked there.

is that one reason , or could it be the car jumped time?
it is due and wed i was going to do it, but due to some parts im waiting to do it tue

let me know what you guys think, Thanks Aaron

Let me rephrase that: I'm not too far from a good tune, the car was running fine before this thing happened. It didn't need a tune at the time. I'll be more then happy to make the trip for a tune, but it's not needed right now for a daily driver.

The NOS octane booster, if you read on the side, pulls it up 60 points, or in parenthesis 6 octane numbers. Don't talk smack if you don't know what you are talking about.

The picture is of the same stuff I am using. Before you start insulting me, read the side of the box and then let me know what you think.

Well, other then the fact that I need a good tune, what is the problem with the knocking?
The intercooler charge pipe hose has a leak. Could that be what is causing the problem?

I just need some information and I would really appreciate it if you guys could share.
(Girlfriend typed that, lol)

Thanks, Aaron
