Bov

Ok guys so heres the story ... i have a seibon carbon fibre hood with the vents on the side and an STI hood scoop on my 02 WRX ... anyways car is driven all year around ... but just recently ive had a company vehicle and havent been driving it, my GF has ... anyways she babys the car for the most part ... she doesnt go above 3k RPM ... i tell her to give'r a lil bit but she doesnt listen haha go figure ... anyways .. so yesterday i took the care for a drive for the first time in over a year .... guess what ... No BOV whoosh .. and i have the TXS RFL ... so of course the first thing i think of is that the RFL is ceased up from not blowing off during the winter months and moisture got in and did its work ... so i took it off, tried to uncease it doesnt look like its working ... so i put the stock one back on .. guess what ... now the car wont rev over 5k rpm without studdering .. what do you all think ?

if you hear air it might be the gasket for the BOV. But if you car is used to the VTA BOV and you put the stock on e back on might try resetting the ECU

today i used my bearing press to push out the valve from RFL ... well in the process the inside of the body got scratched up it looks like and its worthless ... it took a ton of pressure to even pop it out so ... im not even gonna bother sanding it down and re finishing it ... so now my question is ... what price do you guys know of the stock one being worth ? i know the RFL is about 150ish @ cheapest so ...

you can get a stock on pretty cheap on NASIOC.com around 20 or so.
