If your getting a clicking noise when turning that means you need to replace the axle, no other way around it.

This might be my problem... if the car is going straight, no noise, but even the SLIGHTEST turn left or right causes an annoying notchy clicking weird sound. The sound just clicks faster with more speed, and its not a constant sound, it kinda changes.

This is the closest thing I've found to my problem with searches. Do you think my extended Subaru warranty will cover it?

Look on ebay or craigs list.Theyre is usually someone selling a nice used set of suby axles somewhat cheap.Way cheaper than dealer or napa. You are definitely going to have to get a good mechanic to swap for you.good luck

buy an axle, remove old, install new.
### if it breaks... you go no where, which is no good... and trust me, it will break when your the farthest away from home or a shop... so think of it as a race, that you dont wanna lose

you dont need a mechanic to install it it really isnt that difficult. on the ground it may be though on a lift its realatively easy.
