Unhappy any suggestions

Today I put in new uppipe gaskets. The leak seems to be gone, but the severe powere surges are still present. If I load the turbo, let's say 55 mph in 4th gear and floor it, the boost bounces between 9 and 14 psi.???? Also, after the new gasket install, I get about 4 miles down the road and I get a CEL.???? Don't know what that's from either since I have a Godspeed downpipe and uppipe and never had a CEL before. I used a lot of bolt lube. Think that could have leaked into a sensor? Any suggestions on any of my problems? I'm about to go insane.

Myself personally I would check the wastegate valve and see if it is actuating when it should be. The CEL maybe coming from that.

ZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!

Geeze,.. you should get an OBDII scanner and find out exactly what the CEL is for. Could be something as lame as cat inefficency (I get these all the time) ,.. or something major like misfiring.

The CEL went away. I think it was something on the O2 sensor that maybe burned off. The boost surges are still there though.

I have a switchable MBC system. When the MBC is activated, the power surges are not present. Just when I'm using the FBC. Someone suggested that the FBC hoses could be cracked or damaged in some way. What do you guys think?
