Alot of codes...yet still running like it has always

I have a 2002 Wrx and the check engine light is on. I took it to Advanced Auto to get the codes erased because I recently put new sensors in (Mass airflow, two O2, idle air). Now the guy erased all the codes because he was thinking maybe my mechanic didnt erase them when he fixed the problem and he said if they come back on you might have a problem. The CEL came back on and apparently all four cylinders are misfiring, intake is lean, and others which i dont remeber. I have a aftermarket exhaust and intake and i was wondering if that was throwing things off? Or maybe something else is bad?

It would help to be a little more specific with the exact mods that are on your car. An "aftermarket exhaust" can mean several things. What brand(s) is it or are they? Did you replace only the muffler, the axle-back, the cat-back, the downpipe, the up pipe, or the entire turbo-back portion? What exact kind of intake do you have? Do you have any sort of tune? Are there any other mods anywhere besides your exhaust and intake?

If you can provide us with some more specific information, we might be able to give you a more specific answer and help you solve your problem

I have a Turboxs exhaust from the Turbo back. It has never had a tune and there was a BOV and boost controler on it but my friend that had it before me took it off when the car started acting up.

Well, there you go... Get some type of Stage 2 tune and I'd be willing to bet your codes will go away and the car will run like butter. Do you have an aftermarket catless up pipe as well? If not, that's something you should look in to soon.

Actually scratch that. I know I can do it myself but how much would a catless up pipe be? And if I were to get one, what would I look for?

To replace your blown motor?

Have you ever tuned a Subaru before? Do you know what you're doing and have the hardware to do it?

More power to you, just find somebody to work with until you really know what you're doing.
