Add-A-Fuse Help

So I put in some add-a-fuses today and I need some experienced help cause I'm having an issue. The wire I'm tapping controls my dashboard temp/clock on the bottom row 7.5 acc.

If I plug the add-a-fuse in and slide the regular fuse into the top slot I get gauge power but no temp/clock.

I'm guessing here that there needs to be x2 7.5 fuses in there now. I just woulda thought the add-a-fuse that's actually plugged into the fuse panel would've been a direct powersource. It's seeming that a 7.5 fuse is also needed regardless of that...which is great...but I'm just double checking here. Never used these before so its new to me.

Someone confirm what I'm thinking please.

You need to have in two fuses. One of two fuses will protect the original one you pulled and the second will protect the aux you are trying to power. Anytime you use the fuse taps, you must have both fuses in to power the original side you pulled and the second is for the aux you are powering

That's what I was thinking, thanks Dave. So leave it just like pic#1 and just add another 7.5 fuse gotcha. I'll stop by Autozone tomorrow for some. Thanks again.

Technically he isn't tapping a fuse... he's adding a fuse. Right?
