accidental redline

i have a WRX 09 sedan. i am at 9000miles now. i was going up a ramp and a car is front of me is so slow , i got frustrated and stupidly on 2nd gear i floored it to switch lane and didn't pay attention to gear and was on 2nd gear the whole time and went pass redline and i think i hit the rev limiter. the whole car lights came on, and the car powered down and then i shift to 3rd and the power came back on. ever since then, the car feels weaker than usual and i can't feel the boost as it use to be. when i went to get an oil change i told the dealership the car feels weak and they said they found nothing wrong with it. another problem is the car now idles a little louder than usual and when i drive too. can anyone shed some insight on what may be happening and what i can do to may be fix it if fixable?

Frankly you can't hurt anything hitting redline once, and the rest is in your head. These cars get bounced off the limiter all the time. If there is a problem, it is very likely unrelated. There was a problem on the 08 STi that could cause redline issues, but as far as I know never on the 09 wrx.
