Experienced the same thing today. Fuel light was on going around a right hand turn in 4th. Car cut out and I thought great. Engine kicked back in out of turn and I headed right for the gas station. Refueled and headed back to corner again to see if low gas was the problem. Went back into corner and had no problem what so ever.

yup it just sounded like geometric forces slinging fuel out of reach of the fuel pump.

You said you where straightening out when it cut out, right. If you hit fuel cut, wouldn't there be a slight delay from the time the fuel pump cut out to the time the engine cut out? That could be why it didn't happen in the turn?

I don't really know, this was just an idea.

I've read all the replies and I'm with bcosby, I had an old chevy in high school and that always happened to me, braking or hard turns and it would start cuttin out, choking, I always had to keep it above a 1/4 tank.
