At least I still have my STI and it didn't meet its demise to a boulder.

Quick drain FTW, just saying, lol.

Well if we were to talk about your trans; its an anomaly in and of itself. I need to know whats in it so I know how and why it held so tough for so long lol.

I have had a number of shops over fill my F-150 when giving it an oil change. I am to the point now where I check the level before I leave. I would do it myself, but disposing of the used oil is a PITA...

Hope your car was not damaged, and get the oil change shop to take responsibility in writing (just in case it was).

So has anyone heard of any late effects of too much oil? I mean, it runs fine now (no leaks, smoke or anything) but is it going to blow up next week?? Ok, maybe not next week but you know what I mean

You should be fine, seems like it was caught in time.

Also, they said if any negative effects happen they would pay for it.... This is a perfect example of why you should be doing stuff like this yourself.
