What do you mean its too late. Do you think the engine could have blown...? Ok so should I take the coil packs out while it is running or turn off the car and remove them one by one and restart the car?

no just take the wire harness off each coil pack the black clips go in the back coil packs and the white clips are the two front coil packs.

well from spending A LOT of time with Subaru's and the past 10 years of my life doing nothing but building, tuning, and racing i have seen alot ha, but really i believe you cracked a piston ring land, or a piston, or a cylinder wall, but really you need to get this compression test done, you can go to advance auto parts and buy one they are pretty cheap maybe they even rent them out. But after you do these tests let me know

I greatly appreciate your help. I'm going to go pull the ECM fuse now and then pull the coil pack wires. I hope it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I appreciate it... I just found a mechanics manual they use at the subaru dealerships for STi's. I'm actually doing your suggestion first because I know how the dealerships are. They just want your money pretty much.

Sorry about that. I'm not good with forum stuff. Anyways I did what you said and when I took out the ECM fuse the engine had spark but wouldn't turn over. As well when I went to take out the wire to the coil packs the CEL would flash, but when i went to put back in the number four the one that has been misfiring it smelled instantly like gas. What now? I was thinking about doing a knock sensor test just to make sure and look at the timing belt. What do you think you have more experience than I do.
