1st Cat

I just had autozone run my CEL, it said it's my first catalytic converter. that's the up pipe right? does that mean the cat is aboot to go through my turbo soon? Or is it because i replaced the downpipe with a catless downpipe? holla back again and thanks.

Yes it is because of the down pipe, your two o2 sensors or getting funky readings. If you get your cumputer tunned the cel will go away, I think Perrin makes a cel delete kit too, thats not to expensive. Other wise you have to live with the cel

Its probably because of your rear O2 sensor. You have an 02 so you can do a Pony Express MIL fix.

So, when I get my TurboXS TBE my CEL is going to come on because I'll be missing 1 of 3 cat's?

No that is not going to happen for sure. I've had my TXS turboback for a few thousand miles now and I have thrown one at around 7000 miles, a P0139, I reset the ECU and haven't had it for the rest of the time (now at 9600). All it takes for the CEL to go off, is one gust of "dirty" air. If you do get a CEL problem, just do the mechanical fix and be done with it. Its pretty easy from what I hear.

do you think "dirty air" would cause my car not to run when i'm driving sometime? like loose power?
