Yeah I would do a boost leak test and do a pressure test on your intercooler as well...there are so many youtube videos and threads on how to do it...

He knows... He's not a "new hand"... lol

Edit: read a little wrong at first. He needs a smog/smoke test done... I bet it's got nothing to do with compression.

well when i did take my intercooler off the back portion was drenched in oil and there was oil in the y pipe. this is why i assume its the intercooler itself cause ecerything is bolted down hard with tbolts on the throttle body and on the turbo

if theres oil in the y-pipe thats an indication that your turbo seals may be on the way out, and as for the oil on the outside of the TMIC check the banjo bolt on the turbo it's probably leaking, but neither of those would cause the issues you describe in the OP

so today i got the axle seal and had that replaced. apparently my driver side bearing went out so i had that replaced. had the smoke test done it all shot out from where the throttle body was so now i know where its leaking. and now i have a new sound...a clicking sound when i start and go from 1-2 and it only happens sometimes. im guessing its my engine mounts cause when the mechanic started the car my engine was wobbeling like crazy. so now more crap upon more crap. at this point its gona be the end of the year before i get an intercooler
