sweepers part 2: hugging the inside

If there isn't much of the straight after the sweeper, you may be better off hugging the inside of the turn. This a particularly if the turn is fast enough that you don't have to deal with any idiosyncracies that your car might have at very slow speeds. The point of this apporach is that you do not have to travel as far as you took the late apex line. You may not going quite as fast at the exit of the turn as a late apex line, but you will get to the apex quicker, since you traveled less distance.

herm, maybe im not fully gras[ing your description, but its rarly more effecient to take the shortest route, in fact, its usualy best to take the longest route, because radius=speed
