Subaru Impreza Hits Hay Bale, Flips at Lapping Day

Unfortunately I can't leave a comment on the original post with this heading, containing the video and press release. This is one of the worst examples of stupidity at a race track I've ever seen. Whomever put on this so called "event" should be locked up.

Shocking to see first the people leaning on the wall, totally in harms way while cars piloted by idiots not even wearing helmets whizz by. The first car to stop parks right on the racing line and driver and passenger (helmetless) hop right out of the vehicle. Meanwhile there are a couple dozen OMGs while more idiots run across the track.

Stupid people shouldn't breed. If you find yourself at a track day like this, get the hell away.

UNBELIEVABLE !!

*dumbfounded*..... I can't believe this was a serious event at a racetrack. What are they thinking? I saw one guy had it girlfriend in the car, neither of them wearing helmets.

didn't seem like they were going very fast either. Most of the cars stopped in about 100 feet. Someone might have had bald tires on his car or a bad suspension setup to understeer that bad.

There's a new track like that in Utah.. Somebody bought an old proving ground and lets people rent it out for the day to run on. Not sure if they have safety rules or not but I'm sure someone will get killed eventually.

Ahhhh... That explains it... Canadians....

^^ Thanks for the link.

I'm not sure they were actually competing. This could have been the warmup/familiarisation lap and the noob was in way over his head.
