SCCA Reno AutoX Round 1 4/15/07

today was the first event of the season. yesterday there was a school/testntune but i didnt make it out. I ran all day today. in the morning i ran in the novice class and in the afternoon I rnp in AS. im going to stay in either novice or AS this year and bump to STU next year.

It was a long fast course with 2 technical sections. my first run i had a 66.1 and by the end of the day i had it down to a 59.64 +1 cone  My fastest clean time was a 60.05. i finished 3rd in the novice class. the only cars to beat me were a stg 2 sti with front and rear swaybars and a 00 rs with i dont know what. overall in i came in 52 out of 95 which is pretty decent for my first one on shitty allseason tires.

The fastest time of the day was a shifter kart at 47.8xx but the fastest time in a car was a 90s corvette that ran a 51.6 the average time of the course was ~ a 57.5-58.5 so i think i did pretty in a new car on shitty Fusion HRIs in 30 degree temps.

I ran my tires up at 40 psi and left them there the whole time.

enjoy:

Great work. Boy, 30 degree's... brrrrr.

When is your next event?

I am glad the Subie's beat you (sorry, but I know you understand), but I hope they did not sandbag. At my last event, I beat an Evo in raw time, but he was in STU... he ended up in ahead of me because of the PAX.

Oh, your Evo is pretty sweet.

You know what would be funny? Get a WRX badge, glue a magnetic back to it and every once in a while, when you are hanging out with other Subie's... put it on the car.

Think of it as your giving your respect to your WRX friends. A little shout out.
