AutoX in Lake charles, LA Diary

So, Sunday, on June 3rd, I went down to Lake Charles, LA for a regional autoX day with my SCCA Regional club. There wasn't that much of a turn out on sunday, but there were a few decent cars there.
I raced in Street Modified as always, against a camaro, and an SRT-4. Both the camaro and srt were running avon street slicks. My first run of the day I was pulled out a 65 sec lap, trailing the camaro and srt both by about three seconds. I adjusted my tire pressure and played with the camber quickly before the second heat.
In the second heat, I managed to pull out a 60 on my last lap, besting the camaro by 1.5 seconds, but still trailing the srt by about 2.7. I came out in second place.

All in all, it was a pretty much uneventful day, not a large turnout due to the looming clouds tht thankfully held their bladders until literally the last second that last car was running. I ran sunday with stock potenza re92 rubber and hawk hp plus brake pads(which are great by the way). I will post pix of the race tonight when I get home.

Thanks for reading, I plan on recording every race in the same manner from now on out. This sunday the 10th of June, I will be heading to Shreveport, LA, for the second TLAC(trans louisiana autX challenge). Once again, I will post pix of last sunday tonight when I get home, then hopefully I will do ok up in Shreveport, but do not really expect a win, it is VERY competitive in TLAC events, with big money racing, so the copm is very stiff. Later guys.
