Autocross class :: lots of WRX's & STI's

Had a great day at an Autocross class today. And tomorrow, I race in my first Autocross. Unfortunately, due to my AP... I have to run in the modified division. And I have stock tires on my WRX! Anyway, enjoy the pic of the subies. Mine is the red one.

no problem man. how was it. esp is sweet because suspension is open to anything ie. coilovers sways endlinks ect. as long as you dont change the mounting points/geometry of the suspension.

It was great. It was my first time doing this, so I know I need to improve, but overall I felt I did pretty well. It was a lot of fun.

I do need to work on my suspension a bit more... Koni inserts?

Hey Rich, glad to hear you've been out driving and working on your skills again. Guess you've got the racing addiction too !! If I could budget them, I'd go with a fully adjustable coilover set-up, but the Koni's are treating me well....for now....

Not a spray on tint. A heavy gauge sticky-backed plastic sheeting.

Cullen: Me addicted to racing? You bet! My next event is on the 22nd of April. Being that I am in the ESP division, I am going to just get some REALLY sticky tires.

The Texas Region has a 'Novice' division [nESP] that basically lumps all of the novices from every division in to the same category, and uses the PAX index to sort out who was the fastest. I had the second fastest time, but was 5th out of a pack of 34 after the index. Still good for me. Anyway, my PAX index is not as good due to the divison I am in. I am not going to remap my ECU to stock [which would put me in a 'lower' category] but instead, get some things, like tires, that would help me out.

As for coilovers, yes... I believe you are right. I think I will get rid of my Cobb springs and get a set of coilovers. Probably not this year though. But who knows!
