the 24 Hours of LeMons

the 24 Hours of LeMons
Read a write up on this in Sport Compact Car, sounds like a riot !! The 24 hours of LeMons, brilliant Altamount, how perfect !

http://24hoursoflemons.com/

I just paid $500 for my FX-16 GTS, too clean to trash it though, and I spent $66.34 on clutch hydraulics to get it driving, so it's already over budget. Oh well, New Mexico is the land of beaters, and I have enough crazy friends to maybe enter this thing. Hmmmm

I live about 10 minutes from the altamont raceway. I tried to convince my friends to do this with me, but they don't think the fun is worth the 200 bux each for the 5 of us. bastards...

But first prize is $1500 in nickels, how can you say it's expensive with such a lavish purse ??
