Turbo XS Delta EMS

I'm kinda new to Engine Management Systems but I have been doing a lot of research on them and found what seems to be a great deal on a used TurboXS Delta EMS (a lttle more than half the price of the Cobb Tuning Access Port). Let me know if the whole used idea is a bad one.

I recently bought my WRX in January and it has
Catback exhaust, AEM short ram intake, Performance clutch and lightened flywheel (I don't know specifics though). I plan on installing an upipe and catless downpipe eventually but I don't want to pass up a good deal. My question is if it would be worth it to install the TurboXS Delta on what I have going right now. I understand I will need to install a wideband AFR sensor and gauge, but I'm not sure if I really have to have that right away or if I could get away without it for a while as long as I stick with a basic Map that I could download from TurboXS. Or could I do some major some damage without monitoring AFR?

Thanks!

First, I would find out if there are tuners in your area. Talk to said tuner and find out what EM he deals with.
Then you will have to have a game plan for the car, DD, track car, AutoX, or drag.
With your mods you could be running a stage 1, with the DP you can go stage 2.
The Turbo XS EM is a good system, but can a PIA sometimes. I ran UTEC for awhile and had problems with cold starts in the winter. It was tune many times to try and fix the problem, but it always came back. I got a deal on a AP and never looked back.
The Cobb AP are by far the easiest to install and use. A used AP can be had for around $200 used.
But, I would find a tuner first.
