Timming belt

I went to a shop and they said, for colorado law I need to change my timing belt with 95k, so i would like to know when do you recommend me to change the belt and i dont know if is that right now bcuz sometimes the engine going up and down.

Subaru recommends you replace it at 105,000.

I never heard of a law that says you have to replace it at 95000, how is a tech going to know when a timing belt was replaced?

Yeah, that's silly. It sounds like the tech/mechanic is looking for money.

I agree with both of you, but the bottom line is: if it hasn't been replaced, it's getting near time to do it.
