Stage 2 Sti - help with Accessport

Hey everyone,

07 sti with Cobb TBE, AEM CAI, TurboXS RPBV, and the accessport tuner.

All of these upgrades were installed by the previous owner. Since I'm new to all of this I am trying not to mess stuff up but some things don't seem right on this car.

My question is that, with all of those upgrades, what AP map should I be running and what ones should I not run?

The previous owner had the ecu flashed to stage 1 91oct.

I was wondering if, with all those upgrades, can I run the stock ecu flash or even the economy flash, or will I harm the engine/turbo? Im not tearing the road apart, just gettin around. I saw that the economy flash wants stock fuel injectors(which I'm not sure if I have) and also stock intake... How big of a deal is it if I have the aftermarket air intake (saying injectors are stock)? I understand from searching forums that the accessport is not as good as a proflash but I'm working with what I have.

Also, I can get 93 octane in my area. Should I be on stage 2 93 octane map or do I need more upgrades to run that?

You should be able to run the stage 2 93 octane map...and ditch the cai, if you want a good cai look into cobb's product or put the stock setup back on. and don't even mess with economy mode.

I don't have the stock intake... how can the cobb cai be that much better than the aem? I mean its not like an aem you would pick up at advance auto... its pretty lengthy and large.

well as long as it doesn't keep throwing up cel's and you clean it often" alot of dust gets inside our wheel wells" you should be okay with it...Cobb designed their intakes to match the airflow of the factory so you won't need a tune. a lot of guys run into problems with after market CAI's

Ok, if you are running a TBE. Yes, you should be running a Stage 2 map and 93 oct if you can get it in your area. The AEM CAI should be a part that is tuned for by a protune. Because it could screw the MAF readings up. That's why the Cobb SRI would be less harmful for your car. It won't scew the MAF readings. Good luck with the new ride.
