Safe to run 100 Octaine?

I finally found a place to serves 100 octaine!
I haven't found anywhere that serves 93 yet.
But i guess my question is, when is it safe to run 100 octaine?
What stage do I need to be at and with what needs to be done?
And if I do end up being able to run a 100 could I still run 91 or is only 100 safe to run?
Or just a bad idea all over for a DD?
P.S. Price of the gas isn't really a problem

I have been wondering the same thing. There is a place near me with 110. I am curious if I can run it since im tuned specifically for 93.

I'm running e85 and its over 100. You need to change your injectors and fuel pump and get a PROTUNE to run over 93 octane

You should be able to run it, but in boo-key bear's case there is no reason to since he's not tuned to take advantage of it. The ECU will still advance timing further than it would on 93 though.

You'd be looking at wasting money honestly...I see no point in running higher oct than needed for your car unless you have a valid reason, i.e. race car, higher boost with serious mods...I still run 93...

E85 is where it's at, especially if it's JUST for a race map.... Around here it's at 103-105 oct... for $2.69 a gallon.

Look into what NeverSummer said.

It's e85. I tested it and it was 85% ethanol. That being said, I'm not sure is 85% is 100% ethanol or is it just still 85^ lol. I no it sounds odd or even stupid but I only pump in e85. I don't blend it w pump gas (93oct by me)

That's what I meant (100% E85)

Check your FP regularly (like once a year or 12K miles).

OR

Run 93oct every 4 tanks of E.

Just my 2¢

Just soaking it in 93 over night or 2 days would clean any gunk IF it forms. Good idea though.

EDIT:

Although just replacing the pump and looking at it doesn't help the fact that the entire fueling system may have junk in it....

OK noob question here: What does FP stand for? and how do I check it?
Also i can get ahold of 105, and 110 OC but just i know that isn't worth it enless it is a strait track car only.

So the only thing I would really have to upgrade is my injectors and pump? I am sure there is several more things I would have to upgrade besides a protune?
and if I get it protunes for 93 and I can only get 100 or 91, will 91 be bad on a 93 tune??

You tune your car for a minimum expected octane. Say 93. You want to only put in 93+ then. Higher won't really help anything.

Thanks that really cleared a lot up for me!!!
Can you tune for 91 and it make a difference then no tune running 91?
If no difference, then what mods should I do to make it a difference?
