Perrin Cai and Cobb AP

So I'm buying a used AP tonight. The only problem is I have a perrin intake installed on my car. I know on the Cobb website they have stage 1 maps for the aem intake nd the Cobb sf intake can i use one of those as the mapp or do i need one that is exactly for the perrin?

If not I have the stock intake to put back on but I would rather leave my cai in that i spent the money for.

Put the stocker back on there with a drip in K&N until you can get it tuned for. It'll run better with the stocker back in anyways.

Better to be safe than sorry.

None of the CAI's will read the same as any other unfortunately, even the stock map's are off a bit, and throw in something with completely different bends and you have a recipe for super rich or super lean conditions. Either have it pro-tuned with that CAI or stick the stocker back in. You honestly don't gain that much out of the CAI's, a few hp on top if your running a bigger turbo, otherwise they are mostly for looks and sound cool (I have one and have tuned both). If you can get it pro-tuned they are great (sound cool), if you can't then you are risking A/F problems.

I'm about 90% sure Perrin makes staged maps for the AP, if you wanna keep your intake I'd take a look at their maps. I'm sure they will have a stage one map that incorporates your intake.

I bought AP after I had my K&N SRI on and ended up putting my stock box back on.
I would save your CAI until you can get tuned for it.
Plus I had to buy a new MAF sensor because of the turbulence the SRI made.

Cobb Accessport Stage 2.
JDM ej205 swap.
