ok i need help just quik question should i do accessport or just do the tactrix cable and do it my self im not a pro tuner but i do learn fast but any way any advise would be gladly appriated thanx

Well both have there good points and bad. I went with it for the simple fact that I can tune my own car and not have to worry about forking over $300-400 every time I change something out. Cobb AP is a wonderful tool and not as technical as the opensource stuff, but again it all depends on what you are going for with your car and how much you want to do on your own.

so when ppl say that u should trust your laptop, does that mean that it has to be runnin for some reason while the car is on? i wouldnt think so but y wouldnt i trust my laptop, b/c i have vista and im not sure what to trust yet... what are other ppl's OS's that already have this?

Just that you have to be able to trust it's battery power and that it wont freeze up on you. Your laptop will be on to do the reflash, and if it dies in the middle of the flash, you're ####ed.

Like said above,just have your laptop plugged in to your AC adapter and not running off batteries durring the reflashing process.
