old school tuning

hey guys im new to the site, and also new to the subaru world. im mainly into dsm's, but i just got a wagon for a daily driver. i was wondering if you could hook up an AFC to use as the main tuning device for the car. i would also be using an aem wideband.

the reason why im asking is because ive used AFC's in dsm's and made plenty of power. Im more into DSM link, but AFC's are so easy to use. also, is there anyway to get an uppipe for these cars that have a t3 flange?

Not a good idea.Whether you made power or not it's still a hack.Whats the point of just tuning fuel and not igniton? Not to mention how do you plan on recscaling the maps for higher loads?Plus with the newer OBD II ECU's,they end up learning around the AFC's in a week or two.

Thats the same thing I was thinking. You can get away with putting it in a obdII in a 2g dsm, but its older technology. I guess COBB is the way to go.

look into open source tools. all you need is an $80 cable, some free software and a laptop.
