So I just moved to New Mexico from PA and I just checked my elevation and to my surprise I am at 3100+ ft here and in PA I was at 963 ft.
From what Ive been seeing on the web its not looking good for my boost.
I was hitting 18psi in PA Im really scared to see what I hit when I get my Suby shipped here within the month.
Just curious to see what any of you have dealt with with a change like or near this.
I used to live in 2 places with a 2500ft swing. Taking logs at sea level and at 2500 ft you will notice a bit less boost but 3100ft is not big enough difference to kill your boost entirely. I would expect to be running around 17.5 psi max at 3100 feet. WHen you visit places like utah or colorado where your up in the 5-6000 ft range thats when you start losing whole pounds of boost.
Might be worth an ECU reset so it can re-learn the slightly thinner air up there.
Yeah I have to remap anyway since they only have 91oct here.
Goodbye 93oct.
Sounds good though how about lag did you notice a bit more the with a change?
water/meth should be your next upgrade. will allow your motor to run safe with 91oct and makes power as a bonus. also steam cleans the carbon from your engine.
jdm motors are higher compression that love extra timing and need high aki/oct fuel. 91 + meth puts you in the 107oct range.
