need a tune with these mods?

Sorry, Yes I know this is probably answered somewhere... but I wanted an answer speciffic to my mods. All I could find is no need for tune w/ tbe

Here's my question: Is it safe to drive my car till I get a pro-tune? (2 weeks)

Mods: Cobb intake, catless up and catless tbe on a "02" wrx

Thanx in advance!

It should be fine for a couple weeks... try to stay out of boost if possible.

Yes, you should be fine driving like that for a short period of time until you get a tune. Technically, that advice is correct: there is no need for a tune with a TBE. The reasons why almost everybody gets tuned at that point are (1) to eliminate check engine lights, (2) to maximize power, and (3) to help ensure the car runs safely for a long period of time.

And, yeah, I'd also try to stay out of boost as much as possible - just to be safe.

i ran my 03 with a catless uppipe and tbe for over a year with no tune and no problems. cant say anything about check engine lights ### the guy who had it before me unplugged the light. youll notice a lot bigger difference with a tune tho. i now have an accessport on it and love it
