You cant use the STI one, but if the other one is unmarried you can use it without a problem.

As long as the Stg 2 and etc. map are the OTS ones, then you should be fine.

He's right ^ you cannot use the STi one. OTS stands for Off The Shelf maps, which are general maps created for a vehicle specific ECU. They are not customed to your own vehicle just the model. If it's a "staged" map from COBB its probably an OTS map, but keep in mind tuners us the AP for custom tunes. You can go on COBBs website and lookup the names of the OTS maps and try an match it to whats in the AP.

The STI engine is also different from your car also, you have the 2.0 where as the STI has the 2.5, but like also stated the ECUs are different.

If it's an 04 rex it'll work for your car. The guy you are buying it from said his car was at stage 2? If so then he just unmarried it from his car and it should be fine for you. The AP itself isn't stage 1 or 2 (not sure if i quite understand your question), the OTS maps are stage 1 or 2, being the software itself. The AP is just the unit to transfer that software from COBB to your ECU. You CAN use his maps if they are just the OTS ones from COBB's website. You CANNOT use his maps if he got a protune done with the AP at a shop. Either way you can simply download whatever maps you need from COBB then flash them onto your car.

There is a list of tunes that come with an AP at Cobbs website. The OTS maps are free, dont cost a thing, they are the maps that come with an AP from Cobb. The AP should come with a cable that hooks the AP to the OBDII port of the car, and can also be used to connect the AP to a computer.
